Finally got my RX 135 to a shape I have been waiting to get it to for many years. For many it seems to be easy to get a bike to run like they want it to.
Guys who seem to know it all tell me, Just get advice from so and so, put in that piece from here, get that part from there or leave your bike in that place and your bike will be the best makes it seem so easy. I hope some people are so lucky that they can fulfill their dreams with such ease. To me it seems like, you just put a big paper on a table, get some paint and next day you have a masterpiece of a painting. Folks, as far as I can see this is one easy way to kid oneself into believing that everything is so easy. All things look easy when spoken off or when looked at in retrospect. This has been my experience in this world.
For me it has been a long story bits of which have come out in various posts that I have made earlier. Briefly, I brought the bike from a showroom in oct 2001, bike got stolen sometime in june2002. The police recovered it for me in march 2003. Ever since I got it back, it went for 3 rebores, 2 paint jobs and complete rebuilds at famous mechs and not so famous ones and somehow the bike never felt as good as before. Then I get to know of RDDreams, read up, put cdi, filters, jets, lots of improvement, but barrel and rebore were shagged. So first rebuild after that, was full of new parts like 5 speed barrel, gearbox etc. Much better than before but yet to gimme the satisfaction of running well. It is something in the head that says good or bad but hard to describe for a guggu like me in terms of compression or revs or rpms etc. But is a mechanism inside the head i trust.
Finally, decided to do the bike up again. Thing helped a lot with all the OE parts like new 5speed gear box, crank bearings, OE pistons and what nots. Ron blessed the barrel and reed valves and after all this got on the bike, running in complete and here I'm finally thrilled at the way the bike is running. I realized that time the one thing I abandoned this time was the greed. In terms of I want the bike up at any cost on such and such a day. I abandoned, the greed in terms of I want to have all the goodies in one go and then I will be happy and such things.
All thanks to Ron and RDD friends. Their continuous help is what has got my bike into good shape. Patience for any rebuild is a must in my humble opinion. Wanting to take my girlfriend on a ride and showing off my done up bike this weekend is a wonderful thing but pushing for the bike to get to done to show off to the girlfriend is a no no

Keep being there like a light house folks.
Cheers
